Joy

Joy said the Angels today 
and it was a totally right word for the day
I went to the doctor today and he removed the stitches and the bandage of the foot
and it is looking good
I need to start doing some stretches for the foot, the ankle and the toes 
and I can rest the foot an the floor carefully and without leaning
so I dit work a bit with the feet in todays yoga

The cat is ready

10 minutes meditation 

The Butterfly
for the hips and thighs
                                   

Little stretches for the feet, ankles and toes 
moving the foots in circles 

the left one is not quite following yet:)



Spinal tvist 


Hara breath 
put your elbows on the floor 
lift your feet and zig sag them with a deep haaa, haaa haaa breath 
from the abdomen 

Work with your abdomen
lift your legs just a little bit above the floor 
hold for a moment
deep breathe
lower the legs and rest for a moment  

lift your  legs a bit higher this time
hold
deep breath

this time lift your legs high and hold for a moment 

then bend your legs towards the chest  
then straighten them again just over the floor 
and repeat the circle two or three times   

as I have to begin  to use the foot I did some standing postures
just resting the left foot

Delight

It is always delightful to do yoga
I fill my body, mind and soul with the delight of deep breath
feeling every stretch in the body
so delightful:)
 

Starting todays yoga with ten minutes mediation

 Stretching the tights, hips and groin 
with the Butterfly

Open up the sides 
and stretching the back 


 Open up the chest 
stretching the arms, the shoulders and back

with a deep breath bring the arms up over head
pause 
lover the arms with an exhale
repeat few times 



with one leg crossed over the other
bend forward and grab the food, stretching the leg and hips 
when inhaling, relax  
with exhaling deepen your stretch

 repeat on the other side 

open the sides and stretching the legs and back


the Cat stretch for the spine

the Dog stretch 
such a delightful stretches both of them 

a hara breath exercise 
bring your knee to your forehead and inhale

kick the leg backward 
and exhale with a hahh sound deep from the abdomen 
look up

A few stretches

Today I did few stretches, well needed for my back and legs
now when I am starting to walk around all skewed, I would say that it is a bit like a
 duck walk:)
I have a special shoe so I cant  walk on the forefoot, carefully moving around a bit  

I meditated for fifteen minuts 
and then stared with perfect stretches for the back and legs
in the company of our wonderful cat 
she always join me in my yoga 



 Umh so nice for my back 

 and sides 

 great for the inner thigh 

 stretching the feet upwards is good for the blood circulation  

 the shoulder stand 

I am thankful for yoga
my own tool for wellness

The Headstand

The Head Stand is often called the King of yoga postures 
a great posture that;
stimulates the whole body
improves the sight and the hearing 
helps female disorders and poor circulation 
relieves colds and constipation 
reliving headaches and migraines 
improves the memory, the concentration and intellectual capacity
strengthen self confidence  

Be careful if you have an extremely low or high blood pressure
problems with the retina or other eye deceases or infected ears

Here is a easy way to do it. 
If you are not sure about your balance
be careful and ask somebody to help you by grabbing your feet 
or stand against a wall to support your legs or back
Stand on a thick and firm mat or a carpet
don´t use a pillow or a cushion, it will make the balance difficult
Be careful and do the headstand on your one risk

Put the top off the head on the mat with the cup of your hands around the back off the head
place the elbows firmly on the floor
and work your way up as the pictures shows 







My foot is getting better and better:)
It will be great when I can start moving around again

Yoga with my left food

And I that thought I couldn't do yoga because of my operation for my Hallux Valgus 
 of course I can:)
So here I am with a few simple stretches done today 
everyone can do these<3 

A good stretch for the back and the legs

repeat on both sides  

a fantastic stretch for the thighs and the hips
both sides 

the butterfly for the thighs, hips and groins 

effective stretches for the sides 
of course to repeat on both sides :)


the spinal twist 

 the meditation 

and then the relaxation for the foot 
and some blogging :)

I have been a very good girl and given the foot 
and the body the relaxation that is needed for the recovery, 
lying in my sofa with the foot high
and I can fell that the recovery is going very well
it is much less pain and I can move the toes a bit:)

Life in balance

It is important to work with our balance
it helps keep our muscles aligned and keeps us from using our muscles in a wrong way 

With balance comes concentration and focus
When we do our balance postures we need to by very focused and concentrated 
In the standing postures keep your eyes fixed one a spot in front of you
and hold your gaze steady.

Happy New Year

Hi all my dear yoga friends 
Forgive my for how long time it has been since I have posted a post on this blog
I hope your are all still with me:)
I have missed it but I just din´t have the time or energy the last weeks.
But you know you can always go to the older posts 
for inspiration for your yoga practice 

But now I hope that I will find more time for my dear blog
I usually have more time this time of the year

The yoga classes will unfortunately start a bit later this term then usually 
because I have had a little operation on my left foot
the operation went well and I hope that I will recover fast and well:)
Until then I have a special shoe to wear or jump on my right foot:)

I have not taking so much time for my yoga or mediation practice as I would have liked to do for the last few weeks, but now I will have time for my meditation, but I will have to wait with the yoga until my food have healed.

I was in New York for Christmas and I had hoped to find a yoga studio to go to but the one I found was closed for the Holidays, better luck next time
But I did some yoga with my dear yoga sisters in Iceland over New Years
and that was just wonderful
They are such a fantastic yoga teachers
we did some yoga sitting on a chair, so well prepared and effective, 
what a great idea :)
I can still feel the delight in the surprise and effectivity of it 

How has your yoga been?

I haven´t taken a Angels Card for a long time either
but today they said Harmony
I hope you find Harmony in your life
and in the things you do
